What do find of the new colors for the cervelo 2008 timetrial frames?
P3C
P2C Dura ace or frame only option
P2C Ultegra option
After interbike I had my doubts. But when I watch the pictures more and more. I am going to like the new colors, especially the P2C Ultegra edition. |

| The P3C with Zipp wheels is really a nice timetrial bike. But a little bit too expensive for me. At the moment I haven't decided what a want to buy for this summer. I also want a new roadbike, so I have to choose between a roadbike or a timetrial bike. |

A road bike would probably be more versatile.
I have several friends that either time trial or do triathalons with road bikes and aerobars. I have a friend that rides a Cervelo Soloist ultegra with aerobars. |

At the moment I have two bikes.
1.) A 9 year old Cannondale CAAD4 with shimano ultegra 9spd.
2.) A 10 year old small (from my sister) noname frame build as a timetrial bike with a blend of shimano 10 speed components. It's just which one will I update first? Probably the roadbike. I am thinking about the cervelo soloist team (the alu one) with ultegra SL or dura ace. |

I have a '04 Soloist Team (red/black) Ultegra, with a PT Pro (20 spoke fr, 24 spoke rear). Just bought it used off ebay this winter. Very stiff frame. I hardly get any frame flex at all even when sprinting on my trainer. The BB on my old cross bike used to flex ~2cm side to side when sprinting on the trainer, even though the Cervelo weighs less!
I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new one. I did like the red/black scheme better on the '04 compared to the grey color on the new bikes.
If my PT Pro ever comes back from Saris I'll post a pic. |

| Nice, I think that I want to go for the grey/red 2008 version. But I want to get a custom paint job at my LBS to change the grey into black. So it will be a back/red soloist team and it will get my zipp 404/powertap sl 2.4 wheelset. |

I fiiinally got my PowerTap Pro back from Saris after ordering it in the beginning of november, receiving it dead at the end of december, and then waiting three weeks for a warranty repair. The bike is a '04 Cervelo Soloist Team with full Ultegra. Originally it had an Easton fork, but I liked the looks of the Cervelo Wolf fork better so I bought one off Ebay. I also swapped out the SLR saddle the original owner had on it for the WTB Shadow. The SLR just about killed my after 20 minutes on the trainer, and I can ride for hours on the WTB. Plus it matches the bike.
The wheelset I had built up by Mike Garcia at Oddsandendos.com using his Niobium alu deep profile rim. 20 spoke front and 24 spoke rear laced to the PowerTap hub with Sapim CX-Ray bladed spokes. It's not visible in the photo but both wheels are built with red spoke nipples to match the color scheme of the bike. Best part about the PowerTap rear wheel is he only charged me for the Powertap Hub, and the rest of the build was free. The wheelset shipped cost less than the heavy machine built 32 spoke Powertap wheels sets sold by places like JensonUSA.

Sorry for the crap picture quality, but my bike's dirty from the 2 hour ride I just came back from and my camera is from 2000. |
