Thanks for setting the forum up Paul, I've given up on cyclingforums.com. Anyway I think one of the big draws of cyclingforums.com was the info on power based training. The only other resource I am aware of is the google wattage list which would go waaay over the head of most beginners. One of the things I would have liked to see on cyclingforums.com is an expanded forum section on power training equipment. Here are some forums I would like to see:
"Power Training Equipment - General Discussion" - Discussion on merits of various power meters, trainers, equipment selection, etc.
"Saris Powertap - Technical Discussion" - Hints, tips, and troubleshooting for Powertap
"SRM Cranks - Technical Discussions" - Hints, tips, and troubleshooting for Powertap
"Ergomo - Technical Discussions" - Hints, tips, and troubleshooting for Ergomo Cranks
"Other Power Meters - Technical discussions" - "SRM Cranks - Technical Discussions" - Hints, tips, and troubleshooting for other power meters such as iBike, Quarq, Polar, etc.

What do you think?
Paul

Good idea. I think that when there are more discussions here about powermeters and power training that I have to make more specific forums. I can make a general power training category and a power meter equipment category. When it's getting busy at the powermeter equipment category I can splits it into powertap, srm, ergomo, quark and others.

I don't know enough at this point to contribute to the power discussion, but hopefully that will start here at some point. That is the main reason I visit cyclingforums is learn about training with power.

It would be nice to see a place to post current training status. There is a popular thread on bikeforums.net called training status. It has roughly 70+ pages; it might help generate interest and conversation.
